Building Futures in Portsmouth: Two Days of Inspiring Young Talent

Earlier this month, our team headed to Portsmouth for two days to inspire and connect with the next generation of construction professionals.

Day one saw us host City of Portsmouth College on-site, giving students a real-world look at how construction projects come together. They toured the live site, met members of the project team, and gained valuable insight into the wide range of career opportunities within the industry. It was great to see their curiosity and enthusiasm as they explored what life on-site is really like.

The following day, we participated in Havant South Downs College's careers fair, where we met even more students from the local area. We shared stories from our team, discussed career pathways into construction, and answered questions about everything from apprenticeships to project management.

Engaging with young people like this is a vital part of what we do at Wilten—it’s all about planting the seed for future careers and showcasing the exciting opportunities in construction.
